Experience. Strength. Hope.

Low student to staff ratio, on-site recovery support services, and our emphasis on positive peer connections enable our students to remain clean and sober and to graduate from high school.

Who We Are

The Raymond J. Lesniak Experience, Strength and Hope Recovery High School (ESH) is an Alternative High School established in 2014 for high school-aged students who have endured substance use-related issues and are looking for a self-contained, public school, conducive to meeting the needs of their education and recovery.

Recovery High School Graduates

Recovery support staff supported me through this and encouraged me to not give up – they pushed me, and I didn’t give up. Thank you.

Your support provides hope. Everyday across the state of New Jersey, high schoolers struggle with addiction in the face of a nationwide overdose epidemic. We are bridging the gap between academics and addiction recovery to give teens a chance to reach their full potential and live to see graduation day.
